If someone could help me out , what battery charger would I need to charge my battery. No solar at min. Split charge relay installed. Elec hookup installed. Inverter ect. Thanks

We will need a little more info. Is it a genuine motorhome made by a professional company, or a self build?
A recognised motorhome will have been built with a battery charger powered by 240v when on electric hook up.
But to cut to the chase, just about any charger will work, the more expensive ones will have settings to suit your battery.

There is a smart charger currently in Aldi at £12.99 suitable for 12v lead and AGM batteries.. these are ok as long as your battery is not really flat otherwise you may need another 12 v battery to kick start the charging sequence. (y)

It's best to get a smart charger. It monitors the battery state (volts and amps) and charges is at a high rate until it is full. It then switches to 'float charge' which keeps it topped up without overcharging. It can be left connected permanently, no need to disconnect it from the battery, even when driving, or the hookup is disconnected.

Smart chargers have three or more charging stages, and also some have different charging 'profiles' to suit different types of battery (standard lead-acid, AGM, Gel etc.)

To decide the 'amps' required, look at the 'Amp-hour' (Ah) rating of the battery.(Ignore the 'CCA' rating, that's not relevant). Divide the Ah rating by 5, that will give you the maximum amps. For a 100Ah battery, the max amps is 100/5 = 20A.

There is no minimum amps rating, but the lower the amps, the longer it takes to charge. I have a 15A Victron charger for my 100Ah leisure battery, but I have sometimes used a 5A CTEK quite successfully.

This is what I fitted. They also do higher powered ones in the same range. It's also got a gel setting 👌

Got one of these or if you cheap get a basic charger of eBay / Amazon....!
If you use regularly you can simply charge from the alternator via the split charge relay...

Thesw MHers do make it complicated!!🤣🤣🤣
