I've 12ft of standard caravan hose. In 6 years it's only just been long enough once!
Usually I park the van is so close to the tap its mostly curled up on the floor.

We have 2, a shorter one about 3 metres and a longer one about 6 metres, if we want to use a hose more times than not we just use the shorter one but in reality we tend to use our twin 5 litre plastic containers and just keep the tank topped up as and when we see water rather than let it get too low. The advantage of having 2 x 5L containers is that they 'balance' you out if you are walking to/from a tap, rather than one 10L container that makes you lop sided! :D They are rigid so if we want to keep some water in them there's no danger of them 'flopping' around as some of the thin 'bag' or expanding type can.

All we have ever needed.
It actually looks longer but it lives in a very small washing up bowl with its collection of adapters

I finally saw the hoses in another Lidl yesterday, in the reduced section, so it was €9.79. Yet to try it, so I’ll see how it goes.

Bought one in Germany today as we didn't have any hose supplied with new moho.
Only came with the 'gun' with adjustable spray pattern, slightly damp on completion (n)
Must find a proper nozzle before next fill

No effort to carry water to the van in a watering can..Usually in the sun and never ever in a hurry.Does not take long with a 14 litre can. Never carry a hose now.BUSBY.

Paid 1€ for water at a site today, water seemed to be supplied at a large volume but it still timed out before tank was full. At one point I was convinced I had the drain valve open and it was pouring straight through. Pleased I wasn't using a can

We also use a 10 litre watering can and were on a French Aire once that had a timed water point. Got everything ready, put the coin in the machine, filled the can, ran to MH, emptied, ran back to tap to find a Mr Frenchie filling a similar can!

Cheeky, I thought. Filled my can, ran back to our van only to find Mr Frenchie putting 'his' water into our van.

Repeated this 4 times before we timed out!

Vive la France

Sorry Chris @Chris

Since 1975 on and off.
I’ve got two of the hozelock type, gives me about 30 mts with each one,,, I rarely have to walk to fill up! Great connections, and easy to roll up and store back in their boxes,, Yes a good bit of kit! I think I paid around £30 each,, Would recommend to anyone!
What do you use on the end to put in van as you need water in hose to reach. If using gun or twist nozzle I’m thinking they might restrict flow, can’t find just an end you can turn on and off. Usually just put end of hose in held with one of those cheap door wedge things.

Although I don't use a hose one could be handy rather than having to keep returning to the tap filling a can and making embarrassing eye contact with those who might recognise me from last night's inebriated revelry under the awning.

Just bought a 15mtr expanding hozelock hose from screw fix £25.
I used it to clean the van, fantastic the water pressure appears greater too. The term stiff as a board comes to mind when it's being used. When the waters turn off it returns to its tiny size, well impressed.

Long ones are for reaching the nearest tap without moving the van

How long does it have be then? 100 yards? 200yards? I find moving the van pretty easy.

A word of caution regarding expanding hoses. Mine has a tap on the end and when I couple up to a tap on site I always turn it on a quarter of a turn to release the pressure. Last year on site the water pressure was so high and the tap was closed and it split the hose. User beware.

Watering can, cheap effective, efficient, fits all taps and reaches any distance with no need to move the van. Even works in burns in the Highlands.
