Not a huge fridge-freezer, otherwise our Hymer E700 fits the bill. Not for sale, though!

Pretty common layout, I would have thought.

7.68m long. And yes, it has the Alko tag axle chassis which, I find, means it drives well. Max weight is 4500KG.

There are various Hymer layouts for older vans here. I guess most other manufacturers will all have similar layouts at some time or another. Try and get to a large 2nd hand dealer and sit in as many vans as you can. It really helps.

Yes, thank you
A bit away from you but they have a website, have a look on Motorlands Boundary Road Lytham St Annes website they usually have a massive stock of pre owned vans in stock including some left hookers ( I have nothing to do with the firm Jim boss, just live in the area)

We got our E700 from Motorlands. I would recommend them as a second hand dealer.

There's this Hymer B class here. Not quite as far up the range as the E or S class (E being the same quality as an S class, but on a Fiat cab). A number of Hymer tags from this era pop up regularly.

Looks like you are after an A Class for that price & mileage you are either going to up your budget considerably or the mileage. Quite normal for A Class vans to do 10,000 miles a year

You can still find low mileage vans around. Ours has done less than 70K KMs since ~1995, and I wouldn't say we paid a premium for it. Rare? I'll grant you that.

EDIT: But I would have thought that miles on a MH are generally kinder than miles on a car, so high-milers shouldn't cause too many extra problems, if they've been looked after.

Hi All
Thank you for the advice, tips and links very helpful.
I appreciate the mileage not being an issue on the mechanics just the more its done the more wear everything has had.
Keep you posted on my purchase as and when I make one.
Thanks again
