When levelling do you go forward onto them or reverse. I always drive forward and have never thought of reversing. I have recently noticed a few people who have reversed onto their ramps. Just wondered if there is a good reason for doing this?

Try to make it so that you drive off your ramps without stopping in the direction you need to exit the site when it's wet underfoot. Never.... Never drive downhill on grass!

Not long enough!
I think the instructions say reverse onto them. Maybe because you can just drive forward when you go.

And isn't 'Reverse' a tad lower geared than First making it a little easier on all the mechanicals.

On a hard surface if you reverse on it tends to pull them under the front wheels. If you drive on when u reverse off u can shoot the ramp out the front of the vehicle if theres not much weight on that corner. As I found out on a very sloping aier last year with 3 ramps deployed.

On most early Gearboxes Reverse and First gears were the same gear, they just had an Idler gear slid between them so they would both be low geared. Quite often using a low gear on wet grass is your first mistake.

Select as high a gear as you can pull away on and keep the rev's low is the secret.

I have been aware that reversing on is an option, but I've always managed by driving on forwards.
I also like to use chocks on the ramps, rather than leave the hand brake on, but this requires 2 people, especially to ease the weight off the chocks, to allow them to be removed on leaving.

I'm a newbie
My newish Milenco Triple 2 ramps are beginning to show signs of crushing. Is this normal or am I doing something wrong. My Moho weight is 3.65 tonnes

Part of ours got a little damage once while going on to them with wet tyres, which spun.
I prefer not to use them if possible as we often get noises from the suspension(?) when using them - having said that we have just spent 4 nights on them with no problems!
