Levelling motorhome without air suspension

Tin of beans on the worktop

Thanks for replies .. I’ve edited post to explain why I need help with this ...

A large glass of brandy stand it on the table if not level drink from the high side .
Keep doing this ,replenishing your glass, when necessary.
Eventually everything becomes level ish

Level is not critical. Do it by feel.
There are some apps that look good. You could use one of those if fussy.
If you prefer to have your head higher than your feet when in bed, bear that in mind.
The tin of beans method requires the tin to be on its side, by the way, and then needs to stay put rather than roll away. If it does roll, it will be OK if only slowly and towards to foot end of the bed (roll it on the table, not the bed).
(Do I really need to be saying all this? :))

Edit, after seeing the added information:
Water in a saucer can be a simple way to check. This and the beans assumes that the table top and your bed are level at the same time.
If all else fails, use the Brandy method for a sound night!

Buy from Amazon - place on table or known flat surface - move MH til bubbles in the middle. Done. Unlike this one but was for the pic only.

The free truma app has a levelling feature that tells you how much each wheel is off level so you can figure out how far you will need to go up the ramp

Hubby uses one of theses, but I must be very insensitive to levels as the van always feels level to me - even when hubby curses and uses the blocks after reading it.

Thanks Mark, that looks like the sort of thing we could do with.

I parked my van up on ramps one day so it was dead level (checked using a spirit level on the floor), then permanently fixed a little Bulls Eye spirit level (like this) to the flattest bit of the top of the drivers door trim, next to the window, mounted on a blob of Sugru - so it was perfectly level.

Works a treat, gives me an instant and easy level reference every time I park. Often on uneven ground I just keep an eye on it and move the van until it shows level, save bothering with ramps.

Sounds ingenious .... thanks!

Why delete the opening post in a thread when you have had loads of replies - mad..

I like mine slightly leaning towards the right!

So the water runs off the roof if it rains,,

Only problem is I don’t sleep very well being nearly upright!! And the fridge door being permanently open,, and the cassette dripping out under the door!! But no rain stays on the roof!! X

So, what the fook is the question?

I think it’s just help in general you need

So, what is the question?

Thanks Lenny.
I had edited to add medical reasons for questions so people who replied understood why ‘if it feels level it’s ok’ won’t work.
But, on reflection I felt uncomfortable with putting it out there when I haven’t yet come to terms with diagnosis.
So mad, maybe, if it offends you I apologise.

Thanks @ABZSteve for your input see #21.

I would like to know best way of getting van level without air suspension and would be happy for any advice, if you have any

I only ever use levelling ramps. Use 6” sprit level to check and s just as necessary.

Thanks Lenny.

No offence just seemed odd to delete the post and leave it blank.

Were not too bothered about being exactly level and are usually able just to move a bit to get reasonably so. Unlike many on here I prefer to have my feet higher in bed so I don't slip down. The kitchen sink drains better like that too.

We place a marble on the slightly textured work surface. If it stays still, then it's level. If it rolls slowly, we probably live with it, but use ramps or move the van slightly if it rolls quickly in any direction.
