The weather has been so good this week we decided to head out today. We had a great lunch in Saumur, went around the shops. The went to meet someone for a spot of business before heading home across country. As we entered the small village 7kms from home an oncoming car flashed us, the normal warning the Gendarmes are ahead. Yes they were in the village centre, pulling in every vehicle and checking Registration documents, MOT, Insurance and driving licence. Those who could not produce them were walking home or leaving with one of those young friendly officers. These checks seem to on the increase so make sure you have all your documents with you!
