Being a careful couple (tight arses) decided to stay another night to get value for money I even plugged in to the free EHU this morning.

Now you know that feeling when you stand on the white cliffs of Dover and on a clear day you get all excited when you can see France.

mall 8 van Aire, yippie one space left, €10 for 72 hours, expensive for one night but cheap for three. ARP camera, stay longer than 72 hours barrier won't open and automatic parking fine.
Misinformation on Camper Contact review, cameras are just security ones same as in the town and a man came round this morning taking registration numbers.

Moved a bit further south now at Givet in the French Ardennes parked up on the bank of the Meuse. Very nice apart from the noise from the disco across the river.

Thought I should let you know Lenny, when I pitched up in Honfleur to day, we walked up town did the tourist coffee and crepes, muggy and occasionally hot each time the sun came out.

When I got back to the van I remembered that I hadn't switched the new twin fans on at the controller. When I did the readout was 47.3 degrees and of course the fans kicked in immediately. They got the temp down below the 35 degree switch off mark then fired up again 15 minutes later. So all in all I'm very pleased and even more grateful for you spurring me into action.

Cheers............ Griff

I thought we had a reasonable size van but from the other side of the river it looks like a Dinky toy against the Concorde next to us.:D

Are you a heathen who cremates their steak?
If anything it was slightly over done no blood running out.:)
Sounds like you have been watching to many TV chefs Lenny. We all used to have our meat cooked and blow lamps were used by plumbers before they arrived on the screen.:)

Nope can't stand TV chiefs, I've just been going to France for too many years.
Reminds me of a trip to Frankfurt my colleague asked for his steak well done, waiters reply "you mean English".:D

When I dine out and asked how I would like my steak I say cooked. Isn't that how we eat our food. My dog enjoys raw but not his keeper.(y)

This morning managed to get going early 11:30 well that's very early for us, started heading south down the Meuse valley only made a few km before we spotted some chateau remains that we had to go and investigate. Turned out to be in a the charming village of Hierges.

Forgot to mention when we arrived I managed the perfect impression of a French Motorhomer. Shunted backwards and forwards stopping & starting the engine getting in & out of the van then moved to the other side of the track.
Finally 20 min later the sat locked on 2 min before the Grand Prix started.:)

For Robert @Robert Clark

They have these corner supports now instead of a centre rafter pole, there are some fitting that look like they will take two rafter poles as well.

Heartbroken my 40 year old table has broken.:cry::cry:
Would be easy enough to fix if I had a drill with me.
