Because it buggers modern diesel engines, as they never get up to operating temp just on tickover. Also buggers Cat & DPF.
Got a 2016 Euro 6 diesel Jag XE and the company wrote to owners during lockdown and advised setting automatic a/c to 22 degrees and running engine at tickover initially for 30 minutes to charge battery.

Then for 15 minutes each week, thereafter.

Wouldn't have expected them to suggest such if it damages all the fancy stuff on board...

Yesterday felt good enough to drive, first stop Aldi then off to find some LPG, that's where it all went wrong. 1st garage took 10 min to get the connection on, big high kerb and my filler is low couldn't get it lined up. Finally get it on then the pump won't work, call out the gut 10 min later give up. Onto next place an automatic Autogas pump 10 min later realised only takes German bank cards. On to the next one sucesss but I'm knackered found it very stressful good job there are LPG pumps everywhere in Germany.

Drove about 45 miles to a nice Stellaplatz on a lake.
More woes, doing a 3 point turn 45° Bank of mud and grass behind should have got Mi to get out as couldn't see it in the camera. Yep I hit it & cracked a rear light.

Also decided to empty the loo myself bad move not strong enough yet.

Now I'm going to have hang my head in shame and stand in the naughty corner, €18 a night yes €18.

Anyway I said said to Mijhan go and get a ticket for 4 nights. I'm only a novice FLT compared to her, after the screaming ad dabs she comes back with a ticket for 2 days. Not one she is going to win as she won't drive the van.

I suppose you could blame the medication.:rofl:

On a serious note.......glad you are feeling a little better. Take it easy. (y)

Richard.

The lads not well.
Give him a bit of leeway.
Knowing Lenny he’ll make up for it. :giggle:

About a mile from the big one, that's why we are in this area.
I visited it in the 80s and you could see where they had repaired it, the stone was a different colour, but it probably all looks the same now.

It's a nice area, and popular from the number of other MHs on the SP. :)
