Good morning to you. I know it’s a bit early to ask advice but my leisure battery isn’t powering my fridge. On hook up works perfectly. I haven’t travelled many miles in last few days and wandered if that was reason why 🤷🏼‍♀️ Do you think I may need new battery?
Thanks for any help 😊

w2f Your leisure battery won’t power your fridge when parked up unless you have something different to the norm. When parked up it will be on gas or EHU.

Welcome from The Cotswolds!(y)
As Jo662 said, does your fridge normally get power from your leisure battery, and do you have any way of measuring its (the battery) voltage….?

Another shout to say your leisure battery will more than likely not power your fridge when parked up. I know mine does not, only works on gas or EHU.

My compressor fridge / freezer works when not on EHU or engine running. (y)

Wow thank you so much to all you helpful early birds.
I have an inverter on board that is always switched off (it charges my phone/devices without switching it on 😳) ie just switch on - the Battery voltage reads 13.3 and AC voltage is 241 🤔
I’ve never used the gas on fridge before so this will be a new one go me. If you hear there’s been an explosion on Lake Garda it will be me 😂

Most fridges work on
gas when parked up not on EHU
240v when parked up and connected to EHU
the engine battery whist the engine is running/your driving

There are some other, but that is the standard method.

My pvc has an electric only fridge. When I stop the engine and turn off the ignition (not on ehc!) The default is that there is no power to the fridge. However power is restored merely by pressing the power on button on the control panel. Could this be your set up too?

All the above .. one other thing, there's probably a vent on the outside of the van at the back of the fridge. It's prudent to make sure that's not completely shut.
