AA1.5 amp battery charger/maintainer - charging my leisure battery Is it safe/ok to leave it connected to 240 volts for 6 months continuously or is it better to disconnect it once in awhile?

What battery do you have?
if it’s lead-something leave it connected.
if it’s LifePO4 keeping it continually topped is not necessary and depending on your various settings will reduce its lifespan a bit. However, they last so long it’s feasible that by the time it starts losing it batteries will have dropped in price or there will be something new and better.

What make and model is the charger/maintainer? Maintainers are usually the best type of long term 'charger' to leave on.
