Hi all ive just bought a fiat ducat ci carioca 2002.The leisure battery is charging from mains but not while driving.The manual refers to 3 fuses all ok any sugestions.Im not over technical so a girlie type answer would appreciated thanks a million

so you have checked the fuses,what makes you think it isnt charging when you are driving? and are there any rocker switches that maybe you should press.
I dont have a motorhome so other than that i have no idea being a 'girly'. (just how do you check the leisure battery is charging when you are driving - your supposed to keep your eyes on the road )

Don't know how to get into a new thread, sorry.

Got back yesterday from India after a 3 month stint. Flew from Heathrow to Delhi. Hired a car with driver for 5 days, visiting Agra, (Taj Mahal) Jaipur in Rajistan (Amber Palace) then back to Delhi. Flew to Calcutta for 8 days, onto Vizagapatam for 5 days, onto Madras for 5 days, onto Bangalore for 5 days, onto Goa for 2 months. Had over 14000 remarks to read here. Home for a couple of weeks, going to Inverness to see our son and then onto Europe for 3months, this time taking our MH. Hope all you guys had a great Christmas and New year's. Heard it was the worst winter for all in a very long time. Glad for you guys it is begginning to warm up and wish you lot have a great time on the road where ever you go.

Always take Italian electrical manuals with a pinch of salt. Have you measured the voltage on the battery under both conditions ?

how did you check the fuses are ok???

they can blow whilst not shoing they have on the indicator strip,

also, if it's the fiat set up i am thinking off, there's 3 normal sized blade fuses on the drivers side of the bulkhead under the bonnet,

they have a habit of melting the fuse holders, as they holders are cheap ones that just can't handle the constiant current.

pull each fuse out and check for discoloured terminals, idealy check for continuity with a multimeter,
personaly i'd replace the fuse holders for the maxi fuse holders, these are much larger blade fuses that go upto 200 amps capacity, so a 20 or 30 amp fuse will never burn the holder out.
