Yes Mike, it got the better of me so I gave in.
You said Halfords don't fit yet in the link it says low cost fitting available.
Are Halfords a bit selectable what they fit.
Yes, as I found with Kwik-Fit also.

For some reason they are both happy to install engine batteries, but not habitation batteries?

I spoke to the local Halfords on the phone and they were helpful and went to check stock etc. Even said they'd carry the battery out to the vehicle, but not fit it.

Not quite sure why? Perhaps because they don't want to go inside the vehicle, but in the case of the Ducato they need to for the engine battery also (underneath the front seat). Or, perhaps they don't really understand the whole motorhome/campervan electrics thing, and therefore want to stay away from fitting them, even though they will sell you a leisure battery.

From my perspective, the one I bought from the local Parts Store and had fitted has a 3-year guarantee, whereas for the Halfords ones, it's only 2 years - so I'm happy about that.

Doesn't necessarily follow.
My car battery has shown 60% for the last two years yet it starts every time, winter or summer.
BUT..... At 60% the ECU sees it as too low for auto stop/start to operate.
Charged overnight and stop/start works a few times then stops working again.

More than toes wet now!
Shame we can't see the full route of BOTH positive wires.
I still suspect they are BOTH leisure batteries.
The do share a common earth but without seeing the 12v+ it's only a guess.
However, they may be starter and leisure if the two 12v+ are independent of each other.
Difficult to tell from the photo.
