Can anyone tell me how to charge the leisure battery? It's in a Fiat / Chausson and I wonder if plugging into domestic mains would sort it or whether it needs taking out and hooking up to a charger. Is there a built in charger there already?

There should be a built in charger, can you read the leisure battery voltage inside the van if yes just plug it in at home and check the voltage and see if it goes up to something over 13 volts, if it does its charging.

Should be one, put it on mains hook up overnight and see if it`s charged in the morning.
If it`s been flat for a while the battery may be beyond help and need replacing

There will be an on board charger already connected to your leisure battery.
All you need do is plug the hookup lead into the 230v mains.
No need to remove the battery.
To plug into the house mains you will need a short adaptor lead with a 3 pin house plug one end and a blue hook up socket on the other.
Easily sourced on eBay or any caravan accessory shop.

That's great guys, I'm trying that right now and I'll check the charge in the morning. Thanks a lot.
