Can anyone help with this one please .
I presume I need a new leisure battery as the leisure battery seems completely dead .
The 12v tv didn’t work when we unplugged the EHU and also the lights don’t work and this is what I saw flashing

When I plug in EHU the voltage rises to 13.6

the thing I don’t understand is how the battery is showing the voltage on my meter that appears to be ok but nothing work? What I am missing here please ? The voltage doesn’t seem to rise on the batttery so maybe it’s the charger ?

It seemed to be a loose wire or connections as I’ve moved the connector block around and it’s all working ok now . Very strange problem .
will need to try and find the problem and sort it out

Looking at the picture, the battery connection seems extremely thin compared to what I would expect. I can see a thick red positive wire, and a thick black wire, in the picture. Is it possible someone has disconnected the battery for storage, leaving the thin wires for a charger or alarm, and has not re-connected them?

You are right that just does not look right even for a Brit van those wires are only 2.5mm sq at most need they to be at least 10mm sq, preferable 25mm sq.

Thank you . The thicker wires are what I put in place for an inverter in the wardrobe . They run from the battery box under the van and back into the wardrobe . I changed my mind about the inverter but left the wires in place . As for the other wires being thin . As Lenny HB said they do look thin but I believe these are the original factory fitted wires .

It's worth putting some effort into finding the dodgy connection. Very likely that wiring is running at near its full capability, and the connections too. They need to be 100% good, or they will start to get warm, and degrade slowly until they are oxidised and don't make a good connection. In fact, that may have already happened.

I suspect you are right . I will spend some time trying to work out exactly where the problem is .
