Hi Folks,
I'm in the process of fitting a split charge relay to my leisure battery and have a question.
What I have at the moment is:
A starter battery and a leisure battery.
The starter battery charges from the vehicle altenator and both are conected to an on board charger which works when plugged in to the mains 220v supply.
I am about to connected them up as per the attached picture.
My question is:
The leisure battery does not appear to be earted to the vehicle at the moment. Is it okay to leave the existing cables from the onboard charger connected also? I imagine I could not have the enging running and the electric connected at the same time as this could be potentially dangerous.
Your advice would be appreciated
Dave
