Back motorhoming after a 6ish year break!
Left home at 7.30pm en route to the Euro Tunnel.

We've called at 5 garages to try and get LPG what an absolute nightmare.

Been diverted off the A1 with signs redirecting us back North so we had to sort a route ourselves.

Been diverted off the M11 twice and I honestly thought we were going to pass Buckingham Palace at one point. It's now 12.55pm and I'm ready for my bed. We 'should' have been there at 11.30 ish 💤💤💤

If you go via Dover, then Dover South BP almost always has LPG.

BP Dover South Services on A20, Limekiln street CT17 9EF (Folkestone side)

Just buy it when you get to France ?

We got some when we filled the diesel up. £1.29 though, it was only £.79p at home unfortunately sold out!

I think we'll keep topped up in future.

I agree buy lpg in France, much easier to find and easier connection.
where did you get took off A1 and why.cheers

Pleased your sorted. (y)
I always make a point of filling up with both diesel and LPG on return from any journey. I have a Morrisons to the East and an independent to the West, both require a short detour and often after a long drive I really don't want to bother. Like yourself I was once caught out and the frustration and time wasted trying to find a garage en route I will never risk again.

Roadworks 🙄 I think it was a few miles south of Retford. The diversion took us back around north bound then no diversion signs whatsoever, we did a u turn and managed to wing it.

I did tell him when we returned in August 🥴 but of course he didn't listen. We were left needing diesel, AdBlue and LPG...... never again!

Cheers, won’t effect use returning not going that far.

No worries, I think they are resurfacing a lot of sections but it looks like overnight work mon-fri. Wish we had gone M1 now but you live and learn.

Off topic a bit but I used to go to school in Highfields. Is your user name linked, South Yorkshire being your residence?

.77 € yesterday at Cora. Cheapest in the area but there are loads of others.

Just think of the relief you will feel driving of the train onto traffic free roads!!

Are they traffic free because all the French are queuing for fuel ?

If you're going anti clockwise around the M25, Shell at Addlestone had lpg last Friday, that's the Chertsey turn off the M25.

Yes, had been showing as temporarily closed, but now showing as open on "my lpg" app.
Mike.

Only the right hand pump was working on Friday so you may need to come from the other side depending on what side your filler is. Forecourt staff were helpful and coned off the pump whilst I turned around.

We're near Doncaster not sure where Highfields is?!

Clear roads so far, very few cars, mainly wagons/vans/trucks

are you there yet?

Are you there yet? :giggle:

Almost at the aire outside Paris.

We spent a leisurely couple of hours at Cite Europe this morning doing a bit of shopping. Running on about 5 hours sleep at the moment, can't wait to tram round Disney for the next two days yay 🙄😭🤦🏼‍♀️

Kidding, who needs sleep anyway 😂

Could have got LPG at Cite de Europe or Auchan at Cochelles and save the drama.

We are off to Disneyland Paris tomorrow also.

We realised that when we drove in this morning 🤦🏼‍♀️😂 I think because we have never filled this van up before and the issues in France with fuel we wanted to be full to the brim. We'll be ok next time.

Ooh enjoy, I hope the weather holds out 🤞

Highfields is near woodlands which is near redhouse roundabout near A1

Just got back to blighty and almost home.
