So started to upgrade the lights in the bus to LED, G4, pack of four off eBay £9.99 delivered, they work a treat see pic, (led are the two on the left) so have ordered some more and will do the rest.
As an aside I can’t believe the heat generated by the normal bulbs, should make life a little easier on the batteries too.

It does make a big difference in power consumption. I bet mine from atenlighting who have get stock.

I notice you’ve chosen the bright white, not stying with the warm

I replaced ours a few months ago, went with the warm white, they look just like bulbs by the colour. 👌👍

One evening I was checking the power consumption. Nearly 2 amps was being pulled, and I didn't know what it was. Turning all the LED lights off made almost no difference... but only when it was dark did I realised I'd left the oven light on.

I assume LEDs aren't suitable for ovens because of the heat?

I’ve only got the above cupboard lights to change but they look hard work to swap, and are some strange rope light type thing.

You can buy them on 5m long reels. Easy to swap, you can cut it to length and solder onto the ends if there is no wire connected already.
You'll have to check the brightness and power consumption though, the last ones I bought for the kitchen cabinets at home get hot and use loads of power, nice and bright mind 🤔

Oh, also you can get multicoloured ones with a remote control to set what colour you want... Ann loves them in the van

Interesting. The ones fitted does use more power than all the others and i initially thought they were flu tubes. But a section failed two days ago, and so I had a look, and can’t even work out how to get access to one set.

this is them.

Just cut them off and bin them 😂 our van had them above the cabinets to light the ceiling up, they were just cheap rigid white things and a few failed.

These are the new ones on Ann's favourite colour..

Just noticed our colour ones only stay on for 5 seconds in the daytime, must be because the solar's got the battery voltage up to 14.2v 👍
