The only non-LED bulb in our van is a Lumo 1 8w flourescent tube in the bathroom. It's separately switched. I had a look at the bulb and see that's connected to a small PCB with a red and white wire.
I'd like to buy a LED replacement and wondered whether it directly replaceable or whether, not being a fluorescent bulb needing a 'starter', I could simply snip off the red and white leads coming from the van and connect directly to a LED bulb (should such exist).
The Lumo1 is a very simple, cheap looking light with a diffuser all as one, held on with two little self tapping screws. Ideally, I'd like something similar, but LED.
Thanks for any help.

Yes remove the pcb and stick a couple of led strips in there, the ones you can cut to length in threes, wire them straight to the incoming wires from the switch ?

Edit: something like this.

Richard and Ann- thank you very much for the prompt and helpful reply. I was thinking of ordering the light below.
Amazon product ASIN B07JDQF8NHJust connect the two wires on the light, to the wires coming from the switch. Seem ok?

I brought one of the LED strips similar to the one you have linked from Amazon, it works fine but the annoying thing about it is that the wires are at the end, not under the light fitting so are exposed. Not a problem if the unit is semi hidden but they are a bit obvious if the light is in the middle of the hab area. There are some out there which are very similar looking to the Lumo one lights and a bit cheaper then the LED Lumo one. I found one on eBay a while ago but can't find one similar at present.

Luckily, in our van, the light is in the bathroom, behind the door. The wires won't really be all that visible but I'll see if I can hide them.
Thanks for your post.

Job completed in just over 20 minutes. Would have been 10 minutes if I'd spotted the tiny on/off switch at the end of the light! Connected the wires and the light didn't come on. So checked the connections etc and then discovered the switch.
Much brighter then the Lumo1 tube. Managed to get the wires out of sight (mostly).
