LED puzzle (1 Viewer)

[Figaro]

Inspired by Northernraider I decided to replace my front side lights with led.
I bought some from his link and fitted this week.
O/S no problem, N/S didn't work so I put the old bulb back in and that worked.
Faulty led I concluded.
Later I tried the non working led directly on a bench battery and it worked.
So I removed the bulb holder from light fitting cleaned up the terminals put the led in connected to bench battery and it worked.
I put it all back together in vehicle and guess what, not working (except when I put original bulb back in)
Swopped led over from O/S, nothing.
Anyone know what I'm missing ?
Could it be the led's are somehow incompatible with vehicle ?
2003 ducato.

That's weird. ... can't see how they can be incompatible as only a year older than mine and mine are fine.

Great thing about these vans is they don't have all the canbus issues of the 2007 onwards models

Could it be the wires reversed on vehicle wiring? Normal bulb wont care but led needs correct polarity

Could the polarity be reversed on the non working side.
The current only flows through in one direction unlike a halogen bulb.
SandraL obviously types faster than me
