I got this on my pintrest feed and thought O would try to find the pattern - followed the link from pintrest - huge mistake :blush::blush::blush::blush::blush::blush::blush::blush: Lets just say what happens between consenting adults behind closed doors should not be published on a knitting / crochet site
Ooh er missus!
i randomly agreed to cookies on a link to a crochet pattern and had zillions of emails from ”beautiful Russian girls” and viagra adverts - luckily they all gave up eventually. I unsubscribed to some but was wary about actually responding in any way ?

I have tried to find it using Google image search but no luck, sorry. I would think it is a commercially-made garment as the body looks to be knitted?

I think it looks like a batwing cardigan with cross over (double breasted?) front. One front knitted edge to edge and the other in Irish Crochet or similar. Obviously we don't know what the back is like but I would do that edge to edge and possibly in two part withe a join in the middle - or even a double start in the centre back.

On my "to make" list but a long way down as I need to finish the bed covers first.

My unity rainbow to share with you all ?❤
20200404_154830.jpg

The orange was not to bad considering i had to dye the white wool with yellow and red ink! I live very close to a Range store but didn't think going for wool was a justifiable reason to go out so it's my 'use it up' rainbow ?

don't know why it is on it's side though.
perhaps he needed a little lie down.
anyway...
that’s lovely. I haven’t made an actual adult sized garment for about 40 years. I am still at the “thinking about it” stage.

You lot have been busy bees!
May I gate crash your thread and be a total bore and be ever so proud and show off my winter crochet project? The cotton comes from my friend's mum who passed away a couple of years ago. She was an amazing crafter and yes, the house was stashed full. Because Jane knows I like crochet she gave me all the crochet cotton. Some of it came in these beautiful boxes. I use a pattern book from the 30-50s hoping they would be the kind of things mum would have made. Although mum was an absolute master crafts woman, I have seen some of the things she made and they were totally amazing, I can't even get close to that. I give the made things back to Jane who distributes them in the family. This was in a size 60 cotton, .75mm hook, about a metre long, took me all winter.

That is just beautiful, and such a lovely memento for the lady’s family.

My creations are very modest compared to SGNV but I have finished my Dad's blanket and also made a mini rainbow. Each square on Dad's blanket is about 17 inches side to side and the rainbow was made up as I went along - just odds and ends of yarn.

Also beautiful, I’m sure dad will love it.
Reminiscent of Persian tiles (which I am stuck on but it’s my own fault, I keep putting off finding out how to do dtr2tog and I have several other things to keep me busy anyway)

Nice one, Aly.. May I ask did you line it with anything?

I don't have a machine but am thinking of making some. Doctor on Phone appointment said need several so you can wash and disinfect every time you use them as it's the moisture from breathing which aint good.

I like that one and I have some material I could use... to suit different outfits??? They wont be as professional as yours and the others that are on this thread but I think every bit of protection is a bonus. Xx
I used quilting cotton because it’s got a tight weave. A high thread count pillow slip would be good.
It’s got a pocket so you can add extra padding, some people are using hoover filters. I’ve just done another one and added some iron on interfacing to the outside piece but it feels more difficult to breathe.
I made these for family members with removeableHoover bag inserts

And these are awaiting tapes for a local care agency

I have one on the hook as we speak, I’ll take pictures later when I get it out

Welcome back Mark and Mindy !

The For the love of scrubs page has mixed reaction to those. Some trusts aren’t accepting them due to infection control risks. Others are welcoming any help they can get.

Two sets of scrubs made so far! Pics to follow.
Mask finishing today.

Not being accepted here :) I considered posting but that would mean leaving the house and I am home for another 10 weeks :( If they were being accepted locally a neighbour works for the health board and would have taken them for me.

If at some point they want them I will be able to help but I am hoping they are never needed.

Motorhomed for almost 7 years - now going nowhere!
scotzsue You must feel really pleased with yourself - the jumper looks terrific. I am terrified each time Derek wears his that the dog is going to jump up and pull threads. I am still suffering a bit from RSI but want to get on with knitting a Debbie Bliss baby cashmerino cardigan for Evie-Grace. She must have outgrown her baby clothes by now. I still haven't seen a photo of her wearing anything I made but did see her cuddling the teddy I bought.

After making knitted things for Katy's baby I had a thought that it would be a good idea to make more baby things to keep in hand for the other granddaughters in case I'm not here or cannot knit anymore.
Funnily enough, when I was speaking to my daughter the other day, she had the same idea. She has been clearing out her loft and found lots of baby things but not the tiny knitted clothes and has asked if I would make some.

PS My parcel of yarn has arrived but I've left it outside for a while. Shouldn't start anything else I'm still knitting a bedjacket!!

Puddleduck I hope not. I have a file with all the patterns listed in order of priority/importance. I have three more files for sewing, crochet and charity items just so that I can stick to my New Year's resolution of "STAY FOCUSED" I broke the resolution once when I made that rainbow. I allow myself one knitting : one crochet : one embroidery and one sewing job at a time so that I am never bored. How about everyone else - are you good at finishing one task before starting another?

I am useless at finishing anything, have a 30yr old draw with not even started projects, 3 amigurmi animals to finish but just thinking about starting a rabbit for my grandaughter for Easter . ............nuff said lol, love your 'Stay Focused' file idea though!

Could you use Hermes collection? (other couriers are available:sneaky:)
My local trust isn't accepting / currently needing scrubs so I'm making for a neighbouring trust

Terrible.
Currently I have 2 quilts started approx 2yrs ago, three cross stitches (got to the bits where I had to really concentrate so not able to do them in the evenings in front of the tv so saved them for doing on the boat this spring
), a half finished filet crochet runner, a half finished crocheted lap blanket, two knitted childrens' jackets which just need button bands/ zip etc putting in (I doubt they will be of any use for the originally intended recipient when they're finally complete and instead go to their younger sibling!), crochet squares for Hollyberry (but that's ongoing when my hands won't work for more complicated things) , a crocheted soft toy nurse on the hook, Persian Tiles (only the first one as I'm stuck) and the ever present octopals.

I spent a lot of time and effort knitting loads for my a friends grandchild, at her request, found out later that they had gone in the bin as her daughter didn't like hand knitted sh*te. don't know if my mate ever fund out but her daughter told someone she didn't know i was related to. still make me angry, that child is a mother now, she could have at least taken them to the charity shop.
Last yearI sent to the charity shop, after finally daring in the ends, a dress I had knitted for my niece who is now a grandmother :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

scotzsue I have a feeling that Katy didn't really want or need the baby garments I sent but went through the motions. I may be wrong and doing her an injustice. I shall send something for Evie-Grace every year on her birthday and perhaps by the time she's five she'll know who I am.

I have opened my parcel and I got it wrong it's Sirdar Sublime - a double knitting yarn that retails for £8 - what a shocking price to pay for yarn. Beautiful colours though - variegated mauve, pink and cream.
