Do you remember my drunk llama that I made a while back? Drunk/ quizzical/ not put together very well - you choose ;)

Well I am quite fond of him and he has been living in the van with us but I was never happy with the decoration on him so I have remade it and like it much better so I thought I’d share. I love the fluffy effect you can get with a wire brush on wool. It has given me an idea for a cushion.

Hi all, newbie to Moho’ing ... but experienced hooker! Happy to have found this ‘thread’ #sorry ?? no more puns, I promise! Crocheting is just one of my MANY hobbies (addictions! ?). Desperately trying not to turn the Moho into another place to hoard yarn! Link to some of my “stuff” on >>> Pinterest <<<.

Still learning despite experience but also happy to help if ever needed.
You have made some beautifull things and I love your name on there. :)

Death Is Nothing At All
By Henry Scott-Holland

Death is nothing at all.
It does not count.
I have only slipped away into the next room.
Nothing has happened.

Everything remains exactly as it was.
I am I, and you are you,
and the old life that we lived so fondly together is untouched, unchanged.
Whatever we were to each other, that we are still.

Call me by the old familiar name.
Speak of me in the easy way which you always used.
Put no difference into your tone.
Wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow.

Laugh as we always laughed at the little jokes that we enjoyed together.
Play, smile, think of me, pray for me.
Let my name be ever the household word that it always was.
Let it be spoken without an effort, without the ghost of a shadow upon it.

Life means all that it ever meant.
It is the same as it ever was.
There is absolute and unbroken continuity.
What is this death but a negligible accident?

Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight?
I am but waiting for you, for an interval,
somewhere very near,
just round the corner.

All is well.
Nothing is hurt; nothing is lost.
One brief moment and all will be as it was before.
How we shall laugh at the trouble of parting when we meet again!

That’s lovely.

There’s definitely hope!

The first thing I made was a granny square poncho and I followed the video to start with. It’s the Annoo boho poncho :)

Puddleduck that’s a beautiful pattern! I look forward to seeing the finished article.

I'm sticking to octopus for the foreseable future - I still have too many UFOs and other projects in the pipeline.
Have you seen the new flattie teddy and monkey patterns? Once I've finished the baby blanket for grandsprog #6 and stuffed and put bums on the 40 odd octos i made while we were away, I'm going to make some. But as I'm a full time painter and decorator at the moment it won’t be any time soon ?

On and off for many years.
Row 93 completed of the Wild Swan pattern :) I managed to do half a row at knit and natter this morning ....... only took it out once :) but I did manage to knit all the bits of a soft toy to send to the USA as a friend is adopting a disabled boy, hopefully the adoption will all go through in the autumn. Anyway I know with such a huge change in his life the little one may well regress a wee bit and maybe Hamish and Morag (his Scottish Hedgehogs) will keep him company. Once I have stuffed them I will do photos. I don't normally make toys :)

6 rows knitted of "Wild Swan" last night and 4 un-knitted so a gain of two rows :)
You’re much more patient than me! I’d be redesignating the yarn for another project by now...

.....and I'd have thrown it off a cliff. :)

Which is why I am using cheap yarn so I can find out all the places I will go wrong with the expensive yarn. I knew the pattern would be "interesting" and out of my comfort zone but that is why I chose it. I was getting bored knitting socks.
