I have been practicing my micro crochet, it’s still not quite as micro as I would like but I have had a go at designing some jewellery. It’s ideal in this hot weather rather than doing blankets etc.

I hope Holly is okay.

Chiropractic made a huge difference to my lower spine but they won't touch the neck having looked at the x-rays.

I will gladly show you but it is exactly the same just using a smaller hook and thin cotton. It takes a bit of practice and I certainly don’t have the dainty fingers for it but I persevere ;)

Friend has similar problem due to car ramming into her car few years ago. She finds chiropractic helps.
I’m just back from the vet with Holly. Big panic on my part as she collapsed in the field. Turns out she has the equivalent of sciatica, again as the result of the awful injuries she had as a youngster before I found her. She’s having laser therapy treatment at the vets. Only had her first treatment this afternoon.

Hope you can find something that helps.
Hope that all goes well for her.

Help. Can anyone advise where to find a pattern like this. Sorry photos not good. Have searched and searched.

Years ago I bought this sweater from a charity shop. It is very 'open' and lightweight. Butterfly sleeves. The rib seems to be normal but the sweater appears to be knotted 'sideways'.

The seams are at the sides and under the sleeves. Hope you understand what I mean. Would love to try knitting one in various colours ..it is so comfortable.

......and seems simple.

Holly is doing fine, thanks, everyone, for your good wishes. Came bouncing in like a puppy yesterday evening and wanted to play —- she’s 13 years old ! She has a damaged leg ( broken before I found her and left to set) but turns out her pelvis and coccyx were also broken.
The laser therapy has really helped her and she’s down to 2 x weekly next week.

I think it used to be called either dolman or batwing jumper. Try searching Ravelry using those terms.

The love it is that she is doing well, especially after such nasty injuries x

Thank you Janine Ven Hollyberry ... all useful advice which I will look at next week. The reason I like the lightweight white sweater is that it is 'knitted sideways' and 'open stitches'. Sorry I don't know the correct terminology. :(

scotzsue I'm not sure ... my memory is terrible now but I think it might have been you that commented on it at Chester .. or then it may not :(

I'm a pain at times.

ps .. apart from the ribbing, it seems to have been knitted in one piece!!

“People are loving them?” Who are these people? I shall ask Ken and get back to you.....
Ken said no thank you, the tassels would tickle his knees. I notice the chap on the right appears to be wearing dark socks. Always a fetching accessory for any short trouser. ?
Is that his only objection ?! ?

It looks like it's been knitted from cuff to cuff rather than from the bottom. I.e casting on for the sleeve then increasing when you get to the body etc.

He gave a meaningful look in tandem with a couple of responses, only one of which I could politely repeat ?

I just found a half cone of Shetland 1ply yarn - quite a challenge but we are away for a couple of weeks so it will give me something to do in the evening. Not sure if i will do Wild Swan or Flower and Garden...... Probably Wild Swan as I only have the half cone :)
