I have a Weinsberg Pepper van, The bathroom sink slides across the room to allow the shower screen the close, the flexible pipe for the drain has a split. I cannot find a way to get at the pipe. It seems like its a complete cabinet that wont come apart. has anyone come across this problem.

Unfortunately I don't think you'll be able to get the cabinet itself apart as it'll be built and then installed as a complete unit. Is the toilet cassette hatch immediately behind? If so you may be able to access the pipe that way?

I have taken the toilet unit out. but there is no access to the pipe from there. The pipe goes down between the toilet and the shower and is closed in the cabinet. Easy to manufacture but with no thought to maintenance. The sink runners are at 90% angles to each other and the top one i cannot access the screws so cannot remove that panel.
My next step is to remove the shower screen then the screws behind it and see if i can move that end of the cabinet around.

Dont remove the shower panel! I have found a german You tube video that shows how to get sink off itys runners I will try and paste the details. ( not vert techy!!)

I have replaced the pipe on a Weinberg Caracompact 2017. From memory, I removed the sink bowl by removing the silicon seal, which gave access to the top end of the pipe. The lower end is accessible from the external access panel to the water tank; put your hand up in the gap to the right (I think). Disconnect the pipe both ends and pull through from the bottom BUT make sure you put a piece of string on the pipe so that you can pull the new one up from the bottom.

I used pipe from an aquatics centre and stuck on the rubber ends from the old broken pipe to ensure a good fit.

Hope this makes sense. Oh, btw, you will get frustrated, suffer several cuts as you are poking around small spaces, and have a swear jar full to the brim by the time you finish!

The pipe was actually replaced previously by the dealer, under warranty. It is a common occurrence. Good luck!!

Thanks for the info. I will try in the morning following the info.

Hi Terry , did you manage to sort out the waste pipe? Seems it is quite common given you have to slide it across every time you want to change from WC to using shower. I’d like to be prepared if it happened to us. Any further snags?

Hi mapman the video was really a god send. The pipe goes down into the toilet cassette cupboard and along the top above the door. and through into the space behind the back seat. Some of the pipe is rigid pipe with push fit fittings . BE careful they can come apart mine did behind the seat and when I tested the system the water drained onto the floor. you cannot see that joint unless you lift the seat to look in through) Hope you do not have to do this but it is doable .

Glad you got it sorted and thanks for the heads up on route of pipe work.

Got a couple of photos may help. One shows the pipe at the top of the toilet cassette door. The heating pipe and the water pipes come down to give better access. The second is the view under the seat, the wedge I glued in to stop the pipe moving back. Hope it helps
