Leaking tap. (1 Viewer)

Filled up with water today and pressurized system and bathroom tap is leaking.
It's a Comet tap and it appears to be leaking from around the bottom where it joins the worktop .
If i turn it to hot it doesn't leak. Only on cold.
Any idea's please?

Probably O ring failed on the hose connector, don't know about Comment but Reich taps have a hose connector tail that the hose connects too and they have an O ring to seal them where they push into the tap.

If it's leaking on the cold water tail, you'd also probably see water leaking below the work surface.

Could also be frost damage in the body of the tap - look for external cracks.

All sorted thanks. The cartridge must have had frost damage. Fitted new one and no leaks.
I'm surprised though because I always drain down well. Dealer where I got part from mentioned running antifreeze through when draining down !!!
Anyone heard of this? I know normal antifreeze is poisonous.
