Hi All. This is a picture of one of the roof vents in my Motor home. It has started to leaking were the roof vent seal and the body meets and will need to be removed and resealed.
Question, is anyone know how to dissemble this unit ?
The perspex lid stands on 4 pedestals that slide up to open the vent. Each pedestal locks via a spring loaded catch. The roof light has of 2 perspex covers. The inner is fastened to the sliding pedestals. The outer is attached to the inner cover via what seam to be rubber strips.
I think it is of German manufacture circa 1988.
Any help and advice would be gratefully appreciated.

If it is plastic it will probably disintegrate when you try and remove it - mine did! With the benefit of hindsight I would just clean the edge between the rooflight and roof run a new bead of Sikoflex around the edges.
