Hi all, I purchased a Dometic ace pro 500s awning, I've connected it to the Thule Omnister canopy (should it wind all the way back in when attached), the canopy is a bit shy of 5mtrs so there's a slight over hang either end, it's not leaking on the ends just a mtr in from one end, I was wondering if you have to wind the Thule all the way back in or just up to the cover flap please help as the buckets filling up very quick. Is it leaking through the roof of the awning or the back of the canopy fixing between the wall of m/home?

If the awning is new, it could be leaking through the stitching on the seam which is not unusual. Once weathered ie had some rain on it and dried out again, it should stop leaking. Otherwise a smear of seam sealer will sort it, our awning came with a small tube of it in the repair kit.

I think I may of cured the problem , I phoned the company I purchased it from and they said I haven't wound it in far enough , I was worried I might damage the Thule Canopy ,but apparently you can and have to shut it as normal, never thought that would work. The next downpour will let me know if it's worked so fingers crossed. Thankyou people for your help and suggestions it's much appreciated. John and Jackie
