Love that Moon
I used to be a werewolf but im alright.........
doesnt look that big Ken only abot 1inch by 1inch ours is bigger
cracking shot Ken, very detailed.
what lense and exposure did you use ?
OI !!! he he Alan says i definately have cabin fever photographing the moon.
120-400 Sigma zoom John. A "snip" of the settings but I did lighten and sharpen a wee bit in Capture as my tripod is in the m/home and had to use my monopod. Not ideal but adequate.
looks like pretty basic settings and auto focus to boot Ken, obviously the long lens and a clear sky made all the difference. :thumb:
best i can muster is a Canon 90/300.
Canon EOS 350D body.
never actually thought of the moon shot.oh:
mind you, i just mutilated my tripod turning it into a sat dish tripod...never really use it so i fugured get some proper use from it.
Something wrong with my camera i think?oh:
I am really gutted after waiting so long:Angry:
Yep, I have to use "autofocus John as I wear varifocals and even my optician cannot tell me which area of the glasses to use to focus a camera.
I have tried to beat the Nikon settings many times and the only time I have been successful is snow shots when I overexpose to whiten the snow.
Enthusiastic ameteur and no expert I am afraid but enjoy playing. :thumb:
slight difference here Ken...

i too wear vari's and never gave it a thought oh:
have you been 'mooning' again John.
that must have been a very long exposure John......the moon moves around the earth you know oh:
Well when my parent got the Brownie in 1965 for Xmas it was state of the art photography but certainly not captured this moon welloh:
Time to upgrade maybe?
I took this shot using my old Kodak,,, with 798X14 varilight spontaneous slidge canterlibra lens...
I was suprised how clear the shot came out considering it was dark..
I Phone 4 16 gig :thumb:
Pardon the quality it was heavy overcast
What time are we to see this moon?
When it gets dark?
It's just come up above the houses to the East of us - looks like a big orange
Here it comes
