A few of these space saving items may be useful although do shop around online as Lakeland are not always the best price but do have 3 year guarantee. Pictures are small as larger ones won't copy across so see website links.
Addis folding laundry basket https://www.lakeland.co.uk/53202/Addis-Folding-Laundry-Basket-Mushroom-38L looks very clever but reviews are not the best.

We use square trugs (from Lakeland but no longer available) which have multiple purposes & are very tough but good to have many options.

The Mini Flat Ironing board https://www.lakeland.co.uk/53274/Easy-Store-Mini-Ironing-Board-with-Hanger-Hook-–-Tropical-Foliage may suit those full timing that need to do ironing on occasion

We carried a travel iron, at John's request for years, I removed it a long time ago, but did put it back in the year we were going to a wedding after a 2 month trip. no idea where it is now 😂
our trug gave up the ghost when we were away, used it for all sorts, resorted to using a bag for life, to take washing up to sink, used it as a bowl too, or for soaking the cadac bits. It is a bit battered and looks like no one owns it but still no leaks after 3 years. Would like a folding linen basket for home, but the non folder we have usually always has something in it so will wait until the wicker one dies. Think it may outlast me, john had it when we met 22 years ago.

Bamboo toaster tongs the best thing I’ve bought for the kitchen in a while!😄😄 However mine don’t have a magnet and I got 2 for similar price from Amazon😉
