Hi
Anyone been to Lake Annecy in September if so what will the weather be like and also any good Aires or campsites
Thanks Bob

The weather should be okay but it will still be busy especially the town, far too many tourists.😀

We have stayed at Rives du Lac a few times nice site right on the lake views of the mountains 20min cycle onto Annecy on the bike path. There are loads of sites round the lake. Don't know if you have a dog but some don't allow them on their beach at the lake. Heading to Annecy in the next few weeks...
Enjoy.

Should not be cold. Dry if lucky.
Several good sites to choose from. There is at least one Aire but extremely popular when I visited in Sept.

We went to Annecy a few years ago in August, we had torrential rain for days on end! Luckily we had some good weather too. It’s a great place.

Not been for over a week now... during summer it's our go to weekender that ticks many boxes for us. May end up there this WE if the weather is good.

In Sept the usual (not this year) hot weather that gives rise to the evening thunderstorms has usually passed so the weather tends to be a little more predictable. This year i do suspect (hope) a good Sept is on the cards;)

Plenty of nice campsites and the one mentioned above (Rives du Lac) is probably the best. Solitaire is also nice (bit further down) and a bit more relaxed.

The campsites around Lake Annecy were booked solid and there was no room anywhere when we passed through there a couple of years ago - in early September. This came as a surprise!

We were only looking to stop there for one night on our way into Italy so it wasn't an issue for us but if you want to stay there for a week or so it would be worth thinking of booking somewhere.
