This is what happens to ramblas (river beds) when it rains and why you shouldn't park in them.

Easter 2019 will be remembered by these German motorhomers.

We decided to leave Murcia today, just too wet and looking at the radar map just shows the heavy rain going round and round in the mountains Some of the olive groves are more like paddy fields We have cleared out North to Costa Brava and tomorrow going to France where the outlook is a bit better.

We have stayed a couple of times at La Azoya on the waste ground behind the restaurant. Walked down and saw all the motorhomes parked up on the dry river bed and commented both times that they must be mad.

We were once talking to someone who was parked there at La Azohia we asked them why park in a dry river bed and were they not worried when it rained.
He said indignantly does it look like it floods ........no but it does flood and we have seen it when it’s flooded
Wonder if he has seen those pictures
