Just thought I would give a thumbs up for the above app.

The web version allows you to plan a cycling or hiking route on a map. Shows you the distance, height changes and weather forecast for the next three days. You can then save it to your account or send it to your phone. Open the app on your phone and you can use Komoot as a turn by turn satnav to your destination.
It also interfaces with my Garmin vivoactive hr.

All in all a very useful app for people with bikes!

Getting the hang of it from 2017
Yes I just signed up for the free version, got sent a offer of £19.99 for the pro version, much cheaper than Ride with GPS.
I have planned a few road ride routes with it, these were round routes.
Fairly easy to use so long as you can avoid main roads.
Not tried it with the Mountain Bike yet.

I’m a one year old
I’ve got the app and paid the offer price for unlimited route planning. An excellent app with loads of features. One Negative note though. As a recently widowed motorhomer it would be useful if the app allowed you to inform a relative or friend of your cycling route. Then if you have problems or worse, an accident, someone would know the route you were planning to take. I have suggested this to the app developers.

Eyeeedee,
You can invite people to the ride via an email link. They then have the route to view.
They do have to have Komoot on their phone or computer to see it.
I do this for my rides.
