Koh universal cleaner is absolutely brilliant stuff. I purchased it upon the recommendation of my niece (a professional cleaner) and used it in the motorhome last week. It’s fantastic. Especially on the cooker after bacon and eggs. I’m putting this on here because ..... water. You don’t require any water to clean any part of your van inside. Just spray and wipe, loos, Sinks, mirrors, shower, floor, windows, dash, cupboards tables. It’s great in the home too. First cleaning product I have ever raved about. It has no scent. Is eco friendly and safe around animals. It’s an on line company.

excellent find, thank you, perfect for asthmatics who can't cope/react with bleaches and strong smelling cleaners,.
and as a one product serves all situations, perfect..

.

My Wife discovered it a year or so ago. It appears to clean anything yet looks like water when sprayed onto a surface. We use it for windows and specs as well as everything else.

When I was working There was a tank on site which contained several thousand tonnes of KOH , it was Caustic Potash . I wonder if there is a connection ?

Koh's Universal Surface Cleaner is made up of pure water and potassium hydroxide – an inorganic compound used to make soap and cleaning solutions (you may have heard it called caustic potash or lye).25 Nov 2019

It's potassium hydroxide a bit like caustic soda but based on potassium rather than sodium. I'm sure the job is a fairly weak solution but would not describe it as perfectly safe its what's in a lot of drain cleaners and dissolves fat in cell walls which is why it works so well as a cleaner. I don't think there are any good cleaning agents that are perfectly safe. I certainly wouldn't use it for cleaning spectacle lenses especially if coated .
I'm not saying there's anything wrong with using it but some miracle cleaner that's totally safe and harmless it isn't because nothing is.

Not heard of it before but I'd be a little bit careful about using it with gay abandon ...

We advise to spot test on delicate areas and avoid using Koh Universal Cleaner on surfaces that are susceptible to alkaline solutions such as untreated copper, aluminium, zinc, waxed surfaces and films (some LCD screens, sunglasses etc.).

You could make your own using a spray bottle and potassium hydroxide

Anything that strong and works that well I would be very careful about using it on the delicate finishes in a Motorhome.

It advises against use for spectacles and any thing else that has added films as protectors.

Our Universal Cleaner is an ionic formulation of exclusively potassium mineral salts and purified water. The active ingredient is less than 0.5% potassium minerals. Formulated by Dr Leigh Aldous, UNSW.

bleach is a strong alkaline and is known to rot motorhome plastic sinks. So this stuff is going to clean, but probably do damage to plastics

That's my concern ... as we know the windows in MHs are 'sensitive' to say the least and I wouldn't use anything like this on them ... remember those who used to clean them with white spirit?

yes, the acrylic used to break down and craze over after a while

I was thinking more of bathroom basins, where even toothpaste or mouthwash can cause the bowl to fall apart like confetti and the plug hole just fall out. First sign is bleaching marks round the plughole

Yes I said it because@tonyidle mentioned specs it could be an expensive experiment!
