Just had a phone call from a friend who has had very poor television reception from his brand new motorhome, 8 months old.
The van has been back to the dealer 4 times for the fault to be resolved but they couldn't find the problem.
Last Friday he took it back for the fifth time and a new workshop guy was given the job.
He rang my friend back to inform him that he had found the cause of his reception.
NO TV AERIAL FITTED.
The same dealer supposedly fitted the aerial last November at a cost of £300 when the vehicle was new.
This is a national dealer bragging about how good they are.
We are doomed if these numpties are looking after us.
Anymore good tales????

Same old same old.. And chances are your poor mate is gonna just suck up the cost of the 5 visits cos the dealer will just stick two finger up if he asks for the basic diesel costs..
Name them
If they do good then everyone will see they played the game in the end, and people DO make mistakes..
If they do not play the game every one will know what shysters they are

Lovely offer Machzoneman, but I think as well as a signal meter one might well need an aerial too !! ( which is what the OPs mate is a bit short of LOL !!

Oh, I had an aerial as part of the upgrade package from the factory but the TV signal was poor/non-existent even in a good reception area. My BIL (ex BT) discovered that the coaxial cable had not been connected correctly - problem solved. Factories get it wrong as well; there's a surprise!

I'm a newbie and always will be. You never know it all.
Just beggers belief:wasntme:

Whoever the dealer is they should be exposed. The arrogance with which they treat their customers is beyond belief.
