Just over the top from Windermere to Glennridden, is a car park on the left. Awake in the morning, opem the curtains, and wow, a view straight down the valley over Ulswater. :Eeek:

is that the one opposite the kirkstone inn ?
last time i was there it had the dreaded no overnight signs.

Just a little further on as you go over the top to Ullswater. The carpark is slightly raised above the road level and probably does have a sign, but having arrived in the dark, I didnt see it:winky:

But as I say you look straight down the hillside onto the Ullswater valley.
