Hi,

has anyone been to this site?, can you recommend it and what is there to do/ look out for?

Andy

Hi, if you put Kingsbury in the search box, a couple of posts come up. Perhaps you could PM them?

Stayed there a while ago when taking the grandkids to Drayton Manor, found it to be OK, staff were nice but there may well have been changes in them by now. Good dog walks too.

I use this site a few times a year when visiting a work client in Tamworth. Never had a serious complaint, just one occasion when one of the wardens was in a bad mood, and he seems to have moved on.

Short walk into Kingsbury Water park via the M42 underpass. Middleton Lakes RSPB site along the canal (no facilities) should hopefully have dried out this time of year. Dog and Doublet pub in the other direction along the canal gives a discount to C&CC members.

Biggest complaint is the noise from the motorway; sound insulation isn't great in my campervan though, so might not be a problem in a motorhome. Left of the reception/shower block when viewed from the entrance always seems a bit quieter to me.

Lichfield is about 20 minute drive away and is a nice place for shops, market, restaurants and cathedral

Nice walks around the lakes and along the canal and then call in for a pint. Dogs allowed.

Have stayed there with the grandchildren, good cycle route park is in two halves tend to put families at one side where the playgrounds are and those wanting a quieter time on the other side. Would go back.

Hi, stayed there when we visited the motorhome show in Birmingham, lovely walks around lake and along canal, staff very helpful, would go back Mew & Mick

Kingsbury Water Park is vast, plenty to see including a little train which actually goes a heck of a way and plenty of 'stations'. Google Echills Park Railway to see whether they'll have steam up, or diesel whilst you are there.
