Unbelievable but true. I've had an Autosleeper Kingham for nearly 4 years, we thought it was a one off - but for the 2nd time the heating system (pipes) have sat it such close proximity to the pipes from the fresh water tank, they have melted them. The first time this happened the repair was covered by the dealers warranty, this was a significant repair as each time the pump fed water to the kitchen area it was actually spewing the water under the fixed carpets, within hours the van was soaking. We've used the van over the last couple of weeks - winter = heating on, today we discovered exactly same thing has happened. The water feed pipes running along the back of the van have melted and now leaking water all the way through the van. Now at my wit's end! Has anyone had similar issues. The van is a 2014 model, first time it happened was 3 years ago within months of buying the van.

I think we have a few kingham owners on here so I'm sure they'll offer advice when they see this

Have you tried autosleeper owners group, Facebook maybe. Someone else may have had similar problem ?

Can't belive a Truma heating air flow pipe can get hot enough to do that unless thero state is faulty on the heater and its getting too hot.
May be out of warranty but faulty manufacturer you are covered for 6 years under UK law. , I would be back to the dealer demanding it gets sorted.

I have a Kingham, 2018 model but, fortunately, have not had your problem. I would need to check but from memory the heating ducts run with the water pipes across the rear of the van as far as the toilet wall and by the fridge. Assume your layout is similar. It’s difficult to see how the air ducts which are cardboard could get hot enough to melt adjacent pipe work without catching fire themselves. We have exposed ducts running under the bed with lots of stored items, as do many vans, with no hint of heat damage. Could you post pictures of where the damage occurs, is it isolated areas or on general runs, so Kingham owners could check to see if AS have amended things in subsequent years
