If you are thinking of going to see the Windmills at Kinderdijk in Holland be warned they don't like campers or MHs, so much so parking is not allowed of MHs or campers of any size within the vacinity of the windmills. The closest allowable parking is a 30 min walk away - seriously. Total discrimination against MHs. The whole village has signs banning the parking of motorhomes.
One to avoid....

Best to arrive by water taxi but in my opinion the place is far too commercialised in recent years and there's loads of other windmills elsewhere.

Having now toured them, I would probably agree. But given this is an UNESCO site, one wouldnt expect there to discrimination on the basis of transportation.

We pitched at the Aire in Alblasserdam and biked to the windmills. Able to cycle all around the Kinderdijk and along the numerous dedicated cycle tracks.

On a holiday break years ago in Kinderdijk we were on an organised excursion and went up the central ladder inside one of the windmills ,I was behind a lady with a big flouncy skirt on and she had stopped on the ladder and I didn't it proved to be a little embarrassing as everything went dark and all I could see was a pair of stocking tops .:rolleyes:

A Woosh bang
more likely a pre-emptive strike to stop motorhomes outstaying their welcome by parking overnight.. which is also happening in many UK resorts .

Is it not nicer to see the area without rows of white boxes everywhere.. ?
