With our new MH due any day now, we are keen to get out and give it a run.
We have looked on the Wildcamping site, and there is a Large car park over looking the sea at Kimmeridge Bay Beach in Dorset.
Just wondering if anyone on here has been there and stayed overnight?
Also, any other recommendation along the Dorset coast, close to the sea where we can pitch up overnight.
I believe that you can stay over in Exmouth along the front past the lifeboat station and away from the town.
    Any recommendation/advice gratefully received

I think you might find that no overnight camping is allowed at the Kimmeridge Bay car park which is at the end of a toll road (£5 to park) but the Smedmore site is alongside the bay at the same spot (C&CC? or CC?). Beautiful spot, fond memories of many beautiful walks there.

There is a disused quarry on the road leading down to Kimmeridge. Often seen vans overnighting there.

Some years ago I used to regularly overnight in these places. They may well be the same (quarry/car park) sites mentioned earlier and no longer useable.

You can stay on Exmouth seafront for £10 a night, there are many spaces at the far end of the beach.
I travel from Taunton to Weymouth occasionally for work reasons and often take the coast road, there are a few sites along the coast, from Chesil beach to Weymouth, or you have Charmouth a bit further on

Yes, but the car park is within the army firing ranges and no overnight parking is permitted - probably for obvious reasons! Also, the road is not always open as, believe me, it IS a firing range! When it is open the view is spectacular all the way to St Aldem's Head and across to Portland Bill - my favourite road in Dorset.
