Roxy is at the vets this morning to be spayed with keyhole surgery we dropped her off at 9-30 this morning, It costs a bit more for keyhole surgery but in my opinion it's a lot better for the dog.
Roxy's been gone less than an hour and already we're missing her a lot.

Just had a call from the vets procedure has gone well, and we can pick Roxy up at 2-30pm.

Roxy's home now a bit groggy but she's fine and sleeping it off.

We had a BorderXSheltie, Bradley had a nose like Concorde, when we had his wheels lowered/fixed/spayed, we went to fetch brought him home put him in the kitchen.

He stood there all groggy, then slowly his legs started to give way until he ended up on the tiles sprawled out like a big Starfish

I have no experience of keyhole spaying, but it has to be better than the normal method. Lady Faith, may she run free in doggy heaven, took a couple of weeks to begin the return to some normality.

Seriously, I don't know why, but, I've always thought it was the same as Fixed/the snip/castrated/having your wheels lowered/spayed.

We've had a lot of dogs and always had them spayed in the full op way, they all had different recoveries but mostly were up and jumping around like mad things as soon as the effect of the anaesthetic wore off so not sure how they'd have reacted if they'd had keyhole surgery instead ... probably swinging from the light fittings!

Thanks for asking@Cat53, she's doing really well it hasn't bothered her one bit,even the inflatable collar to stop her licking the small wounds isn't bothering her at all.
