Good Morning all. I found this card in the safe under the passenger seat together with an ignition key with a red handle. Anyone know what it is, and will it turn off my red dashboard light? The driver's manual is in German...
Fiat 2.5 1998.
Thanks
John

That is the code that someone needs to order a replacement key to steal your vehicle!Best delete it ASAP (y)

On older vans the Red key is used to prime the immobilser to accept new keys. Without the red key you can not reprogram a corrupt key or add a new one. Red key shouldn't be used for daily use but you can see why someone decided to keep it with them if they had a senile immobiliser (like I did).
I solved it a different way with advice from eddievanbitz . The code I think also relates to an emergency one off by-pass of the immobilser. (1999 Ducato experience).

If you want a new key programming and you don't have a key card they charge an extra £15. Brit supplied vans don't come with a key card, foreign supplied ones do.
