Keswick flooding.

Anyone with plans to go to the Lake District ring and check the site is open. We arrived at Keswick camping and caravan club site last night to find they were evacuating due to flooding.

The only reason that campsite is there is because it floods, if they fixed it there would be houses instead.

OH thinks there is actually a means of controlling the level of Derwent Water but the instructions were lost about 1870 and the key lost subsequently.
