I think they are not necessarily driving slowly, it's a coach not a bus and some of them don't hang about, especially if they are empty... or full of school kidsWhy would anyone drive that slowly that they are hindering a bus?
On the camper or the coach ?That's why you need a good set of airhorns
There are regular signs on single track roads telling slow drivers to pull over to allow overtaking. Most of those roads are national speed limit but quite a few tourists muck about around 25 mph. No wonder others get frustrated.I think they are not necessarily driving slowly, it's a coach not a bus and some of them don't hang about, especially if they are empty... or full of school kids
NO that is in the UK that's a UK reg on the coach for 2005 apparently in Scotland and the video is from an HGV so a totally scary Coach driverIt would have helped if the m/home had been on it's own side of the road.
I think TheTwoOfUs is referring to the moho drifting over the centre line The wheels might be within the lane but the body is over the line . Still a silly move from the coach driver .NO that is in the UK that's a UK reg on the coach for 2005 apparently in Scotland and the video is from an HGV so a totally scary Coach driver
Coach or bus, there’s absolutely no need for the motorhome to be driving that slowly that the coach, bus needs to pass it.I think they are not necessarily driving slowly, it's a coach not a bus and some of them don't hang about, especially if they are empty... or full of school kids
That bus coach/driver wouldn’t like Dorset much with all those queues and traffic jamsCoach or bus, there’s absolutely no need for the motorhome to be driving that slowly that the coach, bus needs to pass it.
I’ve just rewatched it and cannot see where the coach driver is in the wrong. It’s a perfectly legal overtake. The motorhome is a bit wide in their lane but lots of motorhome owners, drivers haven’t really driven larger vehicles so tend to stay wide. The coach driver waited for the shoulder on the other lane to get a little wider to give themselves room.It looks to me like they re both wrong. Retesting is the answer IMHO
Tricky that, as I find my when large vehicles are overtaking me their turbulence first pushes my m/h away from them and then 'sucks' it towards them.
Hi...or pull over and let them pass.
You mean like this one? That's us on the left, rather tiny in comparison!Just like boats as you must know, and I learned with barges in the French canals
Geoff
It is legal but it looks a bit risky, the corner is approaching fast and he's overtaking more than one vehicle, although the camera vehicle could have helped him out by backing off and opening the gap up to give him options. Having said that we could not see what the coach driver could see and don't know what his knowledge of that section of road was and don't know how long the mh had been holding him up for.I’ve just rewatched it and cannot see where the coach driver is in the wrong. Unusual crew, I must say, despite the nautical dress.
Might need to change the name of that boat to WasWas
Really? Overtaking an HGV and a motorhome on a narrow road approaching a bend?I’ve just rewatched it and cannot see where the coach driver is in the wrong. It’s a perfectly legal overtake.
