In High Haswell, Co Durham.. basically the highest point around here and last night in that atrocious weather our awning coped admirably.
Horizontal rain 40mph sustained winds with faster gusts.
It is well pegged out and has storm straps and verticle poles but it just absorbed it all with no problems.
In fairness we only use it as a store room and dog crate garage... I wouldn't have wanted to be in it in that weather.

The weather was pretty atrocious wasn't it. Pleased the Kampa stood up to it.

I've got one of the drive away Kampas and was equally impressed with the wind and rain it coped with in Cornwall a few weeks back. I am thinking of getting the internal brace straps for extra security when the wind gets worse.
