Anyone got a tip for best lubricant to use fitting Kampa Awning bead to Fiamma Canopy on motorhome. Can be bit tight at times. USEFULL tips only pls!
WD40 (various variants), other silicone sprays, Candle wax, Tyre shine silicone, looked at them all not settled for any great remedy yet. Been rattleing brain thinking of some kid off fabric lubricant for the material around the awning bead.

Silicon spray.. big can for a few quid at Screwfix. Sorted I always used to squirt it down the awning channel before entry. Slipped in a treat ?
Don't use WD40 as that swells plastic. !

Ignore it says 40ml.. it really is a big can of 400ml. Error by Screwfix

Nice 1. I will go to Screwfix, ask for a Big Can of silicone for a few quid. Dont know what to say when they ask what type of Silicone from their myriad of stock though. Plastic is non-absorbent.

pick up an awning rail brush for a couple of quid on ebay and use it after every van wash. then a squirt of clear silicone lubricant

use the same lubricant on all plastic latches and moving parts, but graphite spray in locks

Pick up an Awning maintenance kit e bay or amazon
Brush and Awning lube

Hi, Naw its not that that, cleaned the channel on the Fiamma and it is clean. Needs the correct lubricant. Thanks though. G

Ye, thats better. Was just looking online at the Flo Plast. Just what the Dr ordered, a well lubed channel to make life easy!

use the same spray to lubricate moving parts in the toilet and to keep the seal and blade working as designed

Olive oil or eco washing up liquid

Sailing shops have a product for the sail track on the mast. KY jelly is supposed to be a good lubricant :)

Been using both for 18 months now awning perfect still (tis eco wash up)

Choices, choices. KY Jelly, washing up liquid, olive oil. Dont know whether to go to the CO-OP, Screwfix or Anne Summers

Washing up liquid ruins the protective waterproofing if it ever gets on the awning
