You need to locate the swift / bessacar plate as you may find the weights are different after conversion from a standard fiat van. I suspect the 6000 train weight (max van and trailer) will be lower, especially if they have added chassis extensions to make it longer.

I had a 2012 autotrail that was 7.4mtr and 4250kg. it only allowed a tow weight of 1050 kg because of the extensions.

Hello

The plate you want is the Bessacar one. That trumps the Fiat one.

Under the bonnet?
By driver's door?
Just looked for the Bessacarr plate. The only one I can find is inside the cab behind the drivers seat. It has the same details as the Fiat plate under the bonnet.

If that plate is the one from Swift then it’s possible that your van is based on a Fiat cab/chassis with no extensions on the back. I don’t know the model but if it’s 6 m or thereabouts then it could be. Have a look underneath and see if it looks like a normal van chassis, I.e not lightweight aluminium sections.
