The best way to learn? Find somewhere to park up near home and spend a long day there doing motorhome stuff. Go home and pack the things that you found you missed (tin openers, plates, matches, loo paper) and repeat a few times.

Then go for a weekend at the closest site to home and do again. Then find the things that you don't need, for example downhill skis in Lincolnshire, and throw them off the waggon and then, that's it, you've learned enough to get out there.

And most motorhomers will help if you're stuck when you knock on their doors.
