Welcome.. exciting times..

have you looked at or considered a German van conversion by Globecar http://www.globecarmotorhomes.com/the-range.html

after a long time researching we were on the verge of buying one, then at the last moment decided a van conversion would be too small for two adults and our teenage daughter hence the Hymer in the avatar .. but once she has flown the nest.. they will be back on the agenda ..and Globecar will be at the top of the list

Only my opinion but you will find the build quality, style and features of Globecar hard to better or even equal in any British PVC

an interesting Globecar video..
how they are built

The Globecars look amazing, but a bit out of our price range for now. We're looking for a cheap and cheerful devon sahara (under £10k ish) just to make sure we like the van conversions and the motorhome scene before we invest properly in our 'forever van'. Coming from a trailer tent, I'm sure we will love it! :)
If anyone knows of vans with similar layouts to the Sahara (rear double bed, 2 front singles with minimum 4 travelling seats) we'd be interested to learn more.

Love it John, but it's a bit too much for us. We tried to buy a camargue last week but it sold the day before we were due to look at it. I'm starting to think a camargue with a decent awning would be perfect for us.

Hello from us two too. Hope you find what you want. If not you could convert a van yourself.
Ralphs converting a Pug boxer xlwb for us. I'm a panel van widow at the moment.
He's on with the electrics as I type. He got home early from work ( he's a builder) at 1pm. Went straight out and got cracking. Came in for tea and went back out. It's 8.15pm he's still out there.
Still, it will be worth it when "Pugs" ready.
Make sure you pay your tenner and become a member. You'll get loads of help and advice from everyone. Well worth it.

Not long enough!
Hi and welcome :)
My first was a 1994 autosleeper trophy. Great van.
have you checked on ebay?
Chances are, once you have it a while, you may change it as you will have more of an idea of what you want in a van.
