For the rather long and rambling Trailer tent upgrade thread in the beginners section.

I will say hello and keep it short and sweet on here.

erm...I don't have a Motorhome quite yet....

no need to apologise Jason.....we're used to long and rambling posts, usually about nothing in particular.

no one here is bothered what you have, be it tent, caravan motorhome, RV or just a wish for any of the above.

welcome to the fun and friendly forum.:thumb:

hi again Jason,

just been reading your 'novel' and it does go on a while :ROFLMAO:

looking at the one and only pic in your link it does look in pretty good condition but one or two points to look at.

it sounds like the engine used to be petrol, probably a 2ltr, and a diesel has been fitted.....has the engine change been notified to DVLA ?

has the engine had a new cambelt recently...if its belt driven....could cost around £300 to have it changed or another engine if it breaks :Eeek:

you may have problems sourcing some engine and chassis parts depending how old the engine is.

most certainly you wont find many body/conversion parts but most stuff can be substituted for more modern items, lights, taps etc.....original soft furnishing fabric will be a definate no, as will the coach lines which are missing on the front wing (probably both sides).

depending what diesel engine has been grafted in, it should be more economical than the original 2.0 ltr petrol that came out and more powerful.

expect around 25mpg from a 2.5ltr diesel.

as its been redecorated inside it may be hard to see any water staining due to leaks but use your nose.....even oldish damp stinks in cupboards etc.

it may be 4 berth but the rear seats may not have seatbelts so not ideal, or recommended, especially for young kids.

hope this helps in your quest :thumb:
