I’m in the habit of draining down if the moho is sat around for a week or two . About to refill tomorrow is there any tips on additives to help keep the water fresh - we don’t drink it but cook and wash with it . The moho is about 12 months old

I use Elsil. Economical, just 5ml in 50ltrs of water as I top up. More for peace of mind, really.

We always empty the tank when we're not using it then just fill it up before we go off again, as we fill it every few days it freshens what's in the tank so no problems with it and never add anything to it or clean the tank between use, just a good flush with clean water does the trick - we drink it so it has to be okay otherwise we'd be poorly and never have.

I wouldn't ever leave water in it though with the intention of being able to use it again in a week or two as the chlorine dissipate if left standing so the water looses all the 'protection' of it - just put a glass of water out for a few days and you'll see what happens ... would you want to drink it?

I wash the tanks out use a mild solution of white wine vinegar, this cleans the tanks (fresh and grey) ready to be refilled also does not damage and stainless steel in the system. As long as Potable water is used I have never found a need for additives.
