Can anyone throw any light on my juddering engine on my hymer starline 640? It is a semi automatic gearbox, it happened today when in reverse, then again when moving forward. I haven’t taken it out on the road since it happened. Thanks, Brendan.

Chassis and engine details would be useful.

If it’s the 2.7 with the sprint shift box, I sometimes had a similar issue with our old van, I found by increasing or decreasing the engine speed I could work around the problem, sometimes just reducing the amount of turn on the steering was sufficient to stop the judder.

I know nothing about semi automatics, but if it was a manual I'd have clutch on the way out on my list of suspects.

Semi Automatics have a clutch it's basically a manual box I to think the clutch is on the way out.
